Wow that’s a BIG bath tub!!

Well we just completed our first set of swim lessons. It was so amazing to see Brock’s reaction when we first when to the pool. He looked at the pool and then looked at me and then back to the pool. I could see the wheels turning and by the expression on his face I knew exactly what he was thinking, “Wow that is a big bath tub!” He did so good with his lessons. As the weeks went by he got more comfortable on his back, but still is not thrilled with it. He loves the songs, playing with the toys, and his new friends. He is able to hang on the wall all by him self and does not mind to much being dunked. He likes being splashed by the other kids and likes to swim with the instructor. I am so happy that he enjoyed swimming and hope that he continues to enjoy it.

Not my baby boy anymore

Well it is official, Brock is now a little boy. Today he got his hair cut for the first time. I have been putting it off for quite some time, and he was starting to get a mullet, which is very very bad. So we went to one of the kids barber shops and got it cut. He did so good. He loved sitting in the plane. While the lady cut his hair he would smile at himself in the mirror or laugh at daddy spinning the propeller. They were very nice and did a good job! On the way to get his hair cut we saw these amazing rainbows, and at one point we could see it in its entirety.

Dip anyone?

So have you ever tried to explain/show a 1 year old what to do with dips? We recently introduced Brock in to the dipping world. With his chicken nuggets we will give him BB-Q and Catsup. So we show him how to dip his nuggets a few times and then let him fly solo. So the other night he got it for the most part until he decided to dip his face into his sauce. He thought it was very funny and it was.

After dinner while I was cleaning up Brock showed me his newest trick….. that’s right he loves to climb.

What happened to Halloween?

Wow where did Halloween go?? I blinked and it was gone. Well we had fun dressing Brock up as a Monkey! He carried around a banana most of the day till he decided to take a bite out of the peel, which happened not long after my mother-in-law and I were talking about how surprised we were that he had not tried to eat it. Go figure. One of the ladies at my work gave Brock a balloon, he carried that thing around like it was going out of style. We hung out at my in-laws most of the day and then Jon brought him by my work so my co-workers could see him. All in all it was pretty low key, but next year I know will be a different story.
